In the Peruvian Andes, a mysterious party is celebrated, full of masks and dances in honor of the Virgen del Carmen: The Fiesta de Paucartambo. During the celebration, indigenous people wear masks resembling the first Spanish conquerors. Our slippers are inspired by the masks use in this festival. The Paucartambo masks express the amazing synthesis of double heritage: Inca and Spanish. They hide one identity and at the same time show/another.
