The inspiration of the “magical animals” collection comes from the pre-Columbian cultures of Peru. These ancient cultures and their textile traditions existed long before the Incas and the arrival of the Spanish. By virtue of the dry climate of the Pacific coast of Peru, many preserved pieces of their work (e.g. textiles) have been rediscovered intact by archeologists and can be admired at national and international museums around the world.
Part of this collection (slippers, sandals and bags) are Made in Italy by two families of Italian artisans located in the Marche region. The accessories are embroidered with the cross stitch technique, since this was the first type of stitch that Renata’s grandaunts taught her.
The boots were designed in Italy and are Made in Peru by an artisan family of the Mantaro Valley in Lima.
